FAQ – Synth Ctrl

1. Which version of Serum do I need?

Our Serum packs and the Serum Bundle work with Serum 1 and Serum 2. You need your own copy of Xfer Serum. The presets are sounds for Serum, not a separate synth. Serum 1 presets also work in Serum 2, but Serum 2 presets and .SerumPack files don't work in Serum 1.

2. What is inside a pack?

Every pack page lists exactly what you get. For example, the Synthwave Pack has more than 125 Serum presets (arps, bass, keys, leads, pads and plucks). Each pack comes as a .zip file with the .fxp presets inside, and some packs also include custom wavetables and noise samples.

3. How do I get my files after I buy?

It's an instant download. After checkout, your download link shows on the thank-you page and arrives in your order email. There's no limit on how many times you can use it.

4. How do I install the presets in Serum?

Unzip the download and keep every folder in it. In Serum, click Menu, then Show Serum Presets Folder. Copy the presets into Presets (in Serum 2, Presets, then User), the wavetables into Tables, then User, and the noises into Noises, then User. In Serum 2 you can also use Menu, then Import Preset Pack, if your download has a .SerumPack file. Then click Menu, then Rescan folders on disk. The full step-by-step guide is included in your download.

5. Does it work on Mac and Windows?

Yes. The presets work anywhere Serum 1 or Serum 2 runs, on Mac and Windows, in any DAW (Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro and more).

6. Can I use the sounds in my released music?

Yes. All our sounds are royalty free, so you can use them in all your music, including commercial releases.

7. Should I buy one pack or the Serum Bundle?

Single packs are $24.90 each. The Serum Bundle has all 38 packs (4,500+ presets, plus MIDI chord and arp progressions and drum, bass and guitar loops) for $59.90. Bought one by one, the same packs cost $946.

8. How do the courses work?

Each module has step-by-step videos, sound design walkthroughs, arrangement lessons and mix tips. After you buy, you get a link with your access details and log in on the course page.

9. Can I get a refund?

AnswerBecause these are digital downloads, refunds are decided case by case. If a product is defective or not as described, tell us within 14 days of purchase and we will offer a refund or store credit. Bundles and products bought on sale are not refundable. Please read the full refund policy.
